The heater:

The pump and the heater together, wrong way.

Pump and the heather, the right way.

Okay, so you all are thinking about the size of the tub. The dimension is 36in x 60in. If you look at the pump, that bitch is really, really, really big! It turns 3300 RPMs. I have no idea how much HP that is but I am guessing it is more than 2! The home depot person told me that I need to stay within the rang of .5 to 1.5 HP! I haven't hooked it up yet to test it but what the hey, it'll work. So how much was the pump? 65 bucks including shipping. Retail price of the pump - more than 150 bucks. hell yeah.
Oh, I'm putting the pump in the basement underneath the tub (4 ft drop) instead of being on the same floor. That pump will scare the shit out of anyone when it comes on.
On to the heater! So how fancy can you get with the jacuzzi tub? How about a heater!? Hell yeah, this will be so awesome!! I will stay in the tub forever! Jets pounding my ass with hot 115F water!!
So the two are together. What's the holdup? Guess.... I'll give you a hint... the fittings. Yes, the fittings/threads are DIFFERENT! Like wtf American Standard. Why don't you use the same threads as commercial PVC pipes? GAWD. I have to wait until monday to call the SPA company to purchase the pipes. Here's the diagram of the madness.

Seriously... F you American Standard.
